Johnny L. Gayton, MD
If Dr. Gayton is your eye surgeon, you can rest assured that you are in the hands of one of the world’s leading eye surgeons, as he has frequently been regarded as one of the best. He always desired to help others even at a young age. In 1983, he became America’s youngest practicing ophthalmologist!
Henry G. Schneider, MD
Dr. Schneider is extremely well-educated, as he has received his medical degree from Ohio State University, Master of Science in counseling from Florida State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from State University of New York.
Michael B. Minix Jr., MD
Did you know? Dr. Minix’s love for healthy eyesight and caring for people runs in the family. He comes from a family full of ophthalmologists and optometrists dating back to the early 1900s! His education, experience, and family history of passionate eye doctors aid him in being a wonderful doctor at Eyesight Associates.

Mark L. Bryant, OD
There are many diseases that can afflict various parts of your eye. Dr. Bryant specializes in cornea and external diseases of the eye and eye lid as well as fitting ocular prosthetics. When Dr. Bryant is guiding your eyecare, you can be confident that your eye health is in excellent hands.
Stephen Summerow, OD
Dr. Summerow specializes in treating ocular diseases of the eye! Beyond surgery, he is also well equipped to aid the patient with pre- and post-operative care. He is proud to help so many neighbors, friends, and strangers with their eye health needs.
David K. Grogan, PA
Mr. Grogan is an essential part of our team and practice, aiding the doctors and patients to ensure their eye health is maximized. His work places an emphasis on post-operative and emergency eye care.

Jeffrey Cofie, OD
Dr. Cofie is an incredible Eyesight Associates’ team member – highly knowledgeable in eye diseases, skilled in diagnosis and treatment, and wonderful with all patients. He has strong clinical proficiency in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease, binocular vision disorders, specialty contact lens fittings, and co-management of pre-and post-operative surgical procedures.
Tamara Beckett, OD
Dr. Beckett is one of our most recent additions to the team, joining Eyesight Associates in 2019! However, she is not new at all to this profession, as she worked in Savannah, GA and Aiken, SC for a total of nine years. In addition to her education, she completed two ocular disease internships to receive hands-on experience.
