Dr. Cofie grew up in Charlotte, NC. After graduating from East Carolina University, he went on to earn his doctorate at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and was inducted into the prestigious Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. Upon graduation, Dr. Cofie completed multiple externships in private practices including The Eye Institute of Philadelphia and the W.G. “Bill” Hefner VA Medical Center. Dr. Cofie continued advancing his education by completing a residency in ocular disease, cataract, and refractive surgery at Georgia Eye Partners in Atlanta, GA.

Dr. Cofie has strong clinical experience in the areas of primary care, specialty contact lens fittings, macular degeneration, glaucoma, pre- and post-operative management of refractive and cataract surgery, and management of advanced ocular diseases.

He is a member of the American Optometric Association, National Optometric Association, and Georgia Optometric Association. In addition to having served in multiple leadership roles, he has participated in numerous school and community-based vision screenings with an emphasis on providing eye care services to underserved neighborhoods. He is looking forward to continuing this trend of active community involvement across Georgia.

Outside of the clinic, he enjoys traveling, playing racquetball, and spending quality time with family and friends. Dr. Cofie is committed to providing excellent eye care to his patients. Eyesight Associates is honored to have him as part of our team.

Dr. Cofie is currently seeing patients at our Warner Robins, Fort Valley, and Cordele locations.
