Dr. Fountain Headshot

Dr. Felicia Fountain is a native of Mount Vernon, GA, a small town wedged between Vidalia and Dublin, GA , where her family has lived for generations. She attended High School in Montgomery County where she was very active in sports including softball, basketball, cheerleading and baton twirling. She was a member of a state championship competition twirling team for 8 years. She then went on to complete a B.S in Biology at the University of Georgia where she was also a Majorette with the Redcoat marching band. She graduated from UGA as a First Honor Graduate (4.0 GPA) and Summa Cum Laude.

Dr. Fountain received her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and graduated in the top 5% of her class with a 4.0 GPA. She completed a residency in Ophthalmology as well as a fellowship in glaucoma at the Emory Eye Center. She is board certified in Ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She specializes in surgical and medical glaucoma treatment including laser management and cutting-edge MIGS procedures (minimally invasive glaucoma surgery) in which the “natural drain ” of the eye is attempted to be optimized prior to proceeding to bypass procedures (Xen Gel, trabeculectomy, tube shunts) for which she also has extensive training and does routinely. She also routinely performs cataract surgery including combined cataract and glaucoma procedures. She is a member of the American Board of Ophthalmology and the local Georgia Society of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Fountain has practiced in the Dublin and Vidalia areas for 9 years where she has prided herself on comprehensive, detail-oriented and compassionate patient -centered care. Outside of eye care, her passions are being a wife, mother of 3 special boys, and time with friends doing anything that involves the outdoors such as fishing, hunting, ATV rides, rafting and time on the beach. Dr. Fountain looks forward to caring for patients in Georgia for many years to come.
