Cataract surgery is a prime time for patients to try and become less dependent on glasses. Monovision is a method used for eye surgery that allows a person to see things far away and up close without the use of glasses or contact lenses. This is accomplished by having one eye focused more sharply far off and the other eye focused more sharply up close.
