Removing a foreign body from the eye in our ASC.

Eyesight Associates has served the Middle Georgia community by providing emergency eye care during its 20 year existence. We have a doctor on call at all times, plus an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). We are affiliated with multiple hospitals which assist us in providing prompt surgical intervention in cases that require surgery.

Over the years, many patients have benefited from the surgical skills of Eyesight Associates’ physicians. Recently, a Middle Georgia businessman, Maurice Tressler, found himself in need of Emergency eye care. He was sawing some old lumber when the saw blade hit a screw or nail, breaking off part of the blade. The blade became a projectile that embedded itself in his eye. Shortly after his arrival at Eyesight Associates, Mr. Tressler was rushed to our state-of-the-art surgical suite at our Ambulatory Surgery Center. The foreign body was successfully removed from his eye, and treatment to prevent infection was begun. Mr. Tressler’s eye was saved and his vision salvaged.
