Dr. Louis Schlesinger has a Masters degree in Management Information Systems from Georgia College and State University. Dr. Lou, as his patients call him, is also a Doctor of Optometry and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Anatomy and Physiology. He is a former chief optometrist in the U.S.A.F. He wrote and published the book Reliable Keratotomy™ in conjunction with Dr. Johnny Gayton. Reliable Keratotomy™ was in global distribution for two years and is still used by surgeons worldwide. Dr. Lou is a member of the American Optometric Association and The Georgia Optometric Association. He is a fellow of the American College of Optometric Physicians, The British Contact Lens Association and The American Academy of Optometry. He has received numerous awards including an honor award for his contribution to the field of contact lenses. This award was only given to fifteen people worldwide. He has also received two Air Force Commendation medals.
