1987 ‑ present. Practice consists
mostly of work with contact lenses and orthokeratology. Team
with five ophthalmologists, eight other optometrists,
and one physician's assistant to deliver
multi‑disciplinary care to patients. Practice
includes general optometric vision care, post‑surgical
follow‑up on cataract, glaucoma, oculoplastic,
and refractive surgery patients, evaluation
and treatment of ocular pathology patients
including
glaucoma, specialized contact lens fittings,
including post‑penetrating keratoplasty,
post-refractive surgery, high astigmatism,
keratoconus, orthokeratology,
and presbyopia.
Chief

1987. Practice included general optometry,
primary care optometry, and occupational and
industrial optometry. Contact lens practice
included keratoconus, corneal dystrophy and

SPECIAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
AND SKILLS:
Specialized computer skills
in the areas of data and trend analysis, forecasting,
artificial intelligence (neural networks), linear
programming, and relational database management
systems.
Designed, programmed,
and implemented the Multifaceted Transactional
Enquiry System currently used by a large
local real estate corporation for tracking, analyzing,
and reporting on individual realtors as well
as the real estate firm as a whole.
Wrote and published Reliable
Keratotomytm in
conjunction with Johnny L. Gayton, M.D. This
was the first nomogram computer software on
the market. Reliable Keratotomytm was designed
for radial and astigmatic keratotomy and post-surgical
enhancement calculations. Reliable
Keratotomytm was
in global distribution for two years and is
still used by refractive surgeons worldwide.
Designed,
programmed, and implemented the Decision Support
Computer
System used by the Graduate Division of the
School of Business at Georgia College and State
University.
Designed, programmed,
and implemented an in-office financial analysis
database management system, including trend analysis
and forecasting capabilities, used to track eleven
doctors in seven offices for productivity and
profitability.
Founded
Contech Software, Incorporated in June, 1988.
Wrote and published
the computer program Taming Soft Torics™ which
is currently owned by Sunsoft Corporation (USA),
Coastvision (USA), Paragon Optics (USA), Essilor
Optical (France), Pilkington Barnes-Hind (United
Kingdom), and practitioners on three continents
for toric soft contact lens design.
Clinical research including seven marketing
studies and eight FDA clinical studies for
major domestic soft contact lens and contact
lens solution manufacturers.
